The Master of Commerce covers core competencies in accounting, finance, information system and e-commerce. M.com provides you an excellent opportunity in all industries, in corporate finance, Banks, Equity Research and advisory companies, Mutual Funds, Stock broking firms, etc. It will help you to do a professional course in Finance such as CA, CS, ICWA, CFA etc. If you are inclined towards teaching, you could appear for the UGC-NET exams for lectureship.

OBJECTIVES of MCom

  • The broad objective of the Master of commerce course is to impart to the students professional education and training in various aspects of business and its environment and provide them with opportunities to develop managerial and analytical skill in order to meet the challenges of business at the national and global level.
  • To prepare students to exploit newly created opportunities in the accounting and finance field.
  • To inculcate training and practical approach by using modern technology amongst the students in the field of management and Banking.

ELIGIBILITY

A candidate with minimum 50% marks in aggregate at B.com, BBA, BCS degree course from recognized university.

DURATION

The course of study for M.com degree shall extend over a period of two years divided into four semesters. Each semester will be of 16 weeks or more duration with a minimum of 90 actual working days.

DRESS CODE

  • The students are strictly instructed to ware the uniform prescribed by the college, failing which may result in monetary and non- monetary penalties.
  • Blazer Uniform- One Coat, White Shirt and a Pair of Pants.
  • Black Shoes with Black Socks (to be purchased separately by the students).
  • An identity card with tag.
  • The entire uniform must be worn on every Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays and all other occasions notified by the college.
  • The Uniform is compulsory on occasions like HRD programmes , Guest Lecturing and representing our college in other colleges/institutions.
